François Schmitt is Chairman of the Board of Groupama Assurances Mutuelles since June 9, 2023. He has been a member of Groupama’s Board of Directors since 2008.

Since 2018, he has been a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of GAN Patrimoine. As Chairman of the Agriculture and Rurality Commission, he represented Groupama on the French Agriculture Council, as well as on the Presidium of the Committee of Professional Agricultural Organizations of the European Union (COPA). François SCHMITT joined Groupama in 1993, working for the local mutual in Thionville, Moselle.
