Cyril Roux is Group Chief Financial Officer.

Career

Cyril Roux is graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, with a doctorate in finance from Harvard University in the USA and membership of the Institut des Actuaires. He began his career in insurance control, then at the French Treasury, before spending ten years with the Axa Group in Audit and Finance. In March 2007, he joined the Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et des Mutuelles (ACAM), where he became Deputy Secretary General. In April 2010, he became the first Deputy Secretary General of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), in charge of prudential supervision of the insurance sector and part of the banking sector, international affairs and accounting.

In October 2013, he joined the Irish Central Bank as Deputy Governor in charge of the country’s financial regulation. He was a member of the EIOPA board until January 2015, and of the ECB’s banking supervisory board until March 2017. He was also a member of the boards of the European Securities and Markets Authority and the European Banking Authority. In September 2017, he became Group Chief Financial Officer. He takes up the title of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Groupama Assurances Mutuelles on September 1, 2020.
