In 2024, Groupama launched a certification program to label its actions and commitments to sustainability, through the Afnor "Committed to CSR" label. Today, one company within the Group has received the label at the "Exemplary" level, while thirteen of the Group's main entities in France have been certified at the "Confirmed" level - clear recognition of Groupama's positive impact in sustainable development.

What’s the point of getting certified?

Groupama carries out many actions daily to strengthen its sustainability commitments and strategy. To obtain independent and expert recognition, Groupama began a labeling program in 2024 to assess the maturity of its practices and pinpoint improvement areas for a future shared action plan. To highlight and validate its contribution to sustainable development, Groupama turned to Afnor Certification, a leading authority in the field both in France and internationally.

What is the “Committed to CSR” label?

Based on international standards, sector-specific norms, and aligned with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, Afnor’s “Committed to CSR” label evaluates several aspects – implementation of sustainability in the organization, local impact, innovation, and HR-related issues, among others.

The label, valid for three years, helps companies stand out through their commitment, demonstrate their performance level, and build trust with stakeholders. In B2B calls for tenders, it also helps shape Groupama’s ESG profile.

2024-2025: A wave of certifications

Pursuing a culture of excellence, Groupama is setting itself apart in the insurance sector by labeling many of its entities – still a rare approach in the industry.

By the end of 2024, Groupama Assurances Mutuelles, Groupama Centre Manche, Groupama d’Oc, and Groupama Gan Vie had received the Afnor “Committed to CSR” label at the Confirmed level.

In the first half of 2025, several additional entities joined this list: Groupama Nord-Est, Paris Val de Loire, Grand Est, Rhône-Alpes Auvergne, Centre Atlantique, Méditerranée, Supports et Services, Mutuaide, and GAN Assurances – all also labeled at the Confirmed level. Groupama Loire Bretagne even earned the highest distinction: the “Exemplary” level!

These evaluations underscore the quality of our efforts in helping the Group build a sustainable positive-impact economy. Groupama has already identified new areas for improvement and reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development.
