The Groupama Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary! To mark the occasion, it has launched the Employee Award, allowing employees to sponsor projects from rare disease associations. Employees have shown great enthusiasm, sponsoring a total of 36 projects! The Foundation's Operational Committee reviewed these projects and selected 4 finalists. Now, Group employees are invited to vote for the project they believe has the greatest impact on the daily lives of sick children. The winning project will receive €10,000! Below, discover the finalist projects.
Children with xeroderma pigmentosum must completely avoid UV exposure. This project proposes an innovative jacket, designed in collaboration with Decathlon, that combines UV protection, comfort, and discretion. Inspired by a windbreaker, it features two small fans and a transparent UV-protective face shield. This new protection is less stigmatizing, easier to wear daily, and more accessible (€100 per unit). The goal? To produce an initial batch of 104 jackets to equip all Children of the Moon in France.

Lysosomal diseases, which are degenerative and severe, often result in profound disabilities. To enhance children’s well-being while supporting families, this project provides a home sensory adaptation kit. It includes visual equipment (bubble columns, fiber optics), tactile elements (bean bags, blankets, sensory cubes), kinesthetic items (emotional dolls), and ambient accessories (blackout curtains, UV lights). This setup allows families to create a calming, sensory-stimulating environment tailored to their child’s needs-directly at home.
Teenagers affected by Huntington’s disease grow up in a family environment deeply impacted by this severe, hereditary, incurable illness. “Disconnect Your Life” is a tailor-made wellness retreat designed to offer these youths a break from daily stress. The program includes professionally guided support groups, well-being workshops (sophrology, relaxation, massage), and leisure activities to help them regain confidence and a sense of normalcy. It’s an opportunity for these teenagers to reclaim their youth, express their experiences, and enjoy moments of joy.
Leukodystrophies, rare degenerative diseases, severely impact children’s motor and cognitive development. Regular physical activity, when medically feasible, is crucial for improving overall physical condition, self-image, and health, while providing opportunities for social interaction. This project offers a wellness & physical activity package, granting access to adapted activities such as sports, well-being treatments, and alternative therapies (acupuncture, reflexology, sophrology, shiatsu). By removing financial barriers, this package ensures that children can experience enriching and relaxing moments essential to their well-being.
